Hawa Mahal, Jaipur Overview

Hawa Mahal, a palace in Jaipur, India designed and built by Maharaja Sawai Pratap Singh II for his wife, is a beautiful and elegant show of love. Legend has it that the construction took 17 years to complete because the king had fallen in love with many different architects’ plans.
This colorful monument is said to be worth “a thousand words” because of its beauty and complexity. It’s no wonder that the queen herself called it “a living, breathing illustration of pure love.”
To fully appreciate the intricacies of this spectacular palace, you have to visit it as part of a tour and take your time to absorb its beauty. They say that it “isn’t just a building; it is a work of art.”
The entire palace is constructed out of white marble, but no two parts are exactly the same. The roof is made of a mixture of 250,000 mirrors and more than 14,000 pieces of semi-precious stone. More than 4,000 workers constructed the roof in four years. The windows set in the roof depict scenes from Indian mythology and Hinduism to honor the royal family’s Hindu heritage.
The palace’s designs include 944 rooms, 119 towers, 110 domes and nine gardens. if you love traveling and want to know about more places visit us at Traveltricky.com
