Marine drive, Mumbai Overview

Marine Drive is a 3.5 km long seaside stretch of road on the western coast of Mumbai, India. It was built in 1971 by architect Charles Correa and offers panoramic views of the Arabian sea. Marine Drive is home to some famous landmarks like Haji Ali Dargah, Chatrapati Shivaji statue, and Nariman Point among others which make it an important tourist attraction in the city due to its scenic beauties and the magnificent skyline.
Marine Drive houses some of the finest architectural structures in the city such as Shaniwar Wada, Bhendi Bazaar, Chhatrapati Shivaji Terminus, and high-rise buildings. The road also witnesses many sea-based events like the Ganeshotsav festival, Bakrid, and Karwa Chauth during which tourists flock to the shore. The road is home to several coffee shops as well as a lot of renowned hotels which offer incredible views of the sea.
