Vaishnodevi Temple, Ahmedabad Overview

Vaishnodevi Mahal is located in Bhat area of Ahmedabad near the Kalupur Railway station. The temple is dedicated to Goddess Vaishnodevi, a deity worshipped in many parts of India, especially Kerala where it originated. According to legends, the sea goddess, Vaishnodevi was on her way to the Kanyakumari Temple but she halted at this place due to a storm and therefore this temple has great religious significance for many people.
The temple draws people from all over India and abroad. Its festivals include the Navaratri, Shivratri and Deepavali. The temple is currently under construction and is expected to be completed in the next 5 years.
