Some of these restaurants are well-known while others are less popular, but they all have one thing in common: they serve tasty food! If you want somewhere close to the airport or if you want a vegetarian restaurant, then these eateries will be perfect for your needs.

It’s not very expensive, but it is expensive enough to get some amazing food. Flying elephant serves traditional Indian food like North Indian and South Indian cuisine. Some of the dishes are quite unique and I recommend ordering a set with wine or beer if you have time.

Peshawri is one of the best restaurants in Chennai located at Guindy. There’s nothing like having a hot and spicy meal in the middle of winter. The restaurant serves traditional Tamil, Malayalam, Kannada and Telugu food. In fact, Peshawri serves authentic cuisine from South India which can be a tad expensive since it’s located in the Guindy area.

Kaidi kitchen is located in Mylapore. Mylapore may be a bit far from the city, but if you like authentic South Indian food then this is the place for you. The restaurant serves delicious food and it’s definitely worth a visit. Kaidi Kitchen serves authentic South Indian cuisine and it even has an outdoor seating area for when the weather is nice.

It serves authentic Tamil food like idli, vadai and sambar. The restaurant is frequented by locals since it has a nice ambiance and serves great food.

The atmosphere is great, so if this place suits your needs then definitely make a booking for lunch or dinner.

Guests can enjoy Asian food at Pan Asian and some of the dishes served here are Singapore Chilli Crab, Thai Mixed Veg, Singapore Rice Noodles, Steamed Fish with Beancurd Skin and many others.

The Crown is located on T. Nagar. It’s the last restaurant on this list and it’s one of the best places to eat in Chennai. Chennai is known for its culture and The Crown serves wonderful Indian food. The place also has a good ambiance and some of the interesting dishes here are Deep Fried Prawns, Mutton Rogan Josh, Vegetarian Korma, Butter Chicken, Butter Garlic Prawns, Fish Fry and many more.
