1) Om Beach

2) Gokarna beach

Gokarna beach is situated on the west coast of Kudle pipeline, which is very clean and clear. The beach is over one kilometer long, with white sand. The water in Gokarna is crystal clear, though it’s not as deep as other beaches. There are a few rocks near the water, so the beach is not suitable for swimming into.The water is not too warm, and the sand is soft and clean. 8) Mahabaleshwara Temple

Mahabaleshwara Temple is the most popular among the temples in Gokarna, also called “The blessed town”. This temple is about 130 years old and it is dedicated to lord Shiva. Mahabaleshwara temple has a striking architecture which looks like cone with a circular stairway leading to the top. The temple is built on a rock, and the top of the rock is elevated to form a terrace. The entrance to the temple is through a narrow passage called Maha Mandapa (meeting hall). On either side of this hall are two stupas (khapra and mandapa) with four pillars that are carved with images of Ganesh, Nandi and other deities. The main deity in the temple is thought to be an avatar of lord Shiva named Mahabaleshwara.

9) The Bhadrakali Temple

The Bhadrakali temple is the most popular not only in Gokarna but among Keralites. Non-Keralite devotees form about 30 per cent of the total pilgrims to the shrine. Bhadrakali Temple is the most popular and is one of the five temples built by Ramadevi, the powerful Ashta Putrikas. The temple is constructed to honor Bhadrakali, the form of Kali who took away all fears from her devotees. It is believed that those who pray at this temple will never be defeated in battle or have an accident. A human-shaped lingam made of a special pink stone stands inside the sanctum sanctorum where devotees prostrate themselves to pay their obeisance.

10) Mahalasa Temple

Mahalasa Temple is one of the most significant temples in Gokarna, which is also called as Vinayak Kshetra. It is situated on the left side of the beach and it is said to be one of the oldest temples in Gokarna. This temple is constructed in the shape of a boomerang and it has two intricate statues of Ganapati and Shiva. The temple is mostly visited by married women so that they can pray to Mahalasa, who is believed to bring peace, prosperity, happiness and well-being in their married life.
