Belur Math, Kolkata Overview

Belur Math, Kolkata is a monastery built by Sri Ramakrishna Paramahamsa. Belur Math is the oldest and most important Hindu monastery in India. It is believed to have been built around the 12th century and is considered to be the place of origin for Indian culture as it has a lot of artifacts that originated from all across India.
The main premise of this temple, as well as several other structures around the place, revolves around three holy pillars.
