2) Dudhsagar Falls

Dudhsagar is a famous waterfall in Nasik. The place is a perfect picnic spot with lush green forests and calm atmosphere, from where one can see the beautiful view of Godavari river. It is located on the way to Khandala, which is 10 km away from Nashik.

3) Saptashrungi

Saptashrungi is one of the most famous places in Nasik. It is a small hill, which is situated locally known as ‘Saat-Shreni’. There is an ancient temple of Saptashrungadevi at the top of the hill. There are some traditional and cultural programs arranged throughout the year. The place has a good environment and great views of mountains and plains.

4) Trimbakeshwar Temple

Trimbakeshwar Temple is an ancient and very famous temple in Nasik. It is dedicated to Lord Shiva, who is worshipped as Trimbakeshwar. The temple is situated on a hill with lot of temples in its vicinity. It is one of the twelve ‘Jyotirlinga’ or abodes of Lord Shiva. It is believed that the idol of Trimbakeshwar was installed by none other than Lord Brahma himself. 5) Pandavleni Caves

Pandavleni is a cave, which is situated on the bank of River Godavari. There are a number of caves in the area, but Pandavleni is one of the most famous. It has been declared as an archaeological site by UNESCO. The cave has a religious importance as it was believed that Lord Krishna used to meditate here.

6) Sita Gumpha

Sita Gumpha is a popular temple of Lord Ram and his wife Sita. It is situated in the heart of Nasik city, amidst lot of houses and it takes around 5-10 minutes to reach there. It is believed that Sita was brought here after being kidnapped by Ravan, who kept her in this cave as her dwelling place. Now, there is a temple of Goddess Sita situated inside the cave.

7) Anjaneri Hills

Anjaneri is situated in Nasik district of Maharashtra. It has an ancient temple of Lord Hanuman, which is believed to be the place where Hanuman rested after searching for Sita in Lanka. Every year, large number of pilgrims visit Anjaneri, especially during the festival of Hanuman Jayanti.

8) Gangapur Dam

Gangapur Dam is situated on the border of Maharashtra and Madhya Pradesh, in Nasik district. Coin Museum is the only museum in Nasik city, which has the collection of coins from all over the world.
