Udaipur

Udaipur, in the middle of India’s northern Rajasthan region, is one of the most beautiful and romantic cities in all of Asia.
Palace after palace and temple after temple line the banks of Lake Pichola. A symphony of colors flourishes on either side of the lake. The population is diverse, to say the least, with many ethnic groups and languages present on any given street. People of Rajasthan pride themselves on their distinct dress, and many can be seen wearing the traditional Rajasthani dress.

It is a very liberal city with a laid-back atmosphere. The people are very friendly, and although it can get busy during festival times, the majority of tourists comment on how calm and quiet Udaipur is when compared to other large cities such as Delhi or Mumbai.
